530 Only client IP address allowed to connect to PASV socket
530 Only client IP address allowed to connect to PASV socket.
If you get this error when you use FTP,that means your IP address is not allowed. This error often occurs when the option “Block FTP_Bounce attacks” is enabled on Server-U and the client requests that the server connect to a different IP address for a data transfer than the client’s public IP address. In most cases, this means that the client is connecting to the public IP address for login but requesting that the server use a private IP like 192.168.*.* for the data transfer.
If you have access to your FTP server, then you can follow the steps below to disable this option:
- Open the Serv-U Administrator
- Select Settings – > General
- Under the “General” tab, un-check the “Block FTP_Bounce attacks” option.
That’s it,and then try FTP again you’ll see it works.
